Perform routine manual tasks requiring medium to heavy physical effort involving exposure to kinds of weather conditions. Operate plows during in winter. Serve a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to emergency situations. Must complete the Highway Maintenance Worker Traineeship 2 or have 1 year of experience in the operation of highway construction, maintenance equipment, or other vehicles in excess of 26,000 Gross Vehicle Weight Rating with air brakes, a Class A or B Commercial Driver License with DOT-specified endorsements, and heavy dump truck, one person plowing with single or double wing, CDL Medical Certificate (form MCSA 5876), and front-end loader NYSDOT equipment operation certifications. $36473 to $45518 per year. Office assistant

Assist with the daily operations of the Managing Attorney’s Office which includes accepting service of documentation at the MAO window. Open and close cases in NYMatters, Access, Microsoft Office, and CourtAlert. Make court runs within the 5 boroughs to deliver and file documents or to pick up documents. Contact the various courts across the state for information on cases. Advise staff on questions regarding filings, service to the courts, and working with United Lawyers Service. Forward CourtAlert notices to the appropriate staff assigned to that particular case. Monitor eFax mailbox and send to appropriate bureau. Collect and empty trash, recyclables, and dispose of waste. Wash and clean floors, corridors, stairwells, walls, partitions, and windows. Vacuum, strip and wax floors and shampoo carpets.
