Provide orientation and ongoing clinical oversight of the nurses. Chair regularly scheduled meetings with the nurses to discuss clinical and operational issues. Work directly with the DDPS 4 and the TTL to identify and/or discuss any nursing issues, clinical or operational. Develop strategies to overcome any issues identified. Coordinate weekend and holiday nursing coverage. Coordinates off-hours insulin and treatment coverage, including the scheduling of per diem nurses. With the DDPS 4 and the TTL develop and coordinate nursing assignments. Conduct scheduled and unscheduled reviews of the delivery of services by the nurses. Conduct scheduled and unscheduled reviews of the documentation of the delivery of services by the nurses. Assist with the development of plans of corrective action (POCA’s) in response to nursing citations. Conduct internal control studies of nursing issues. Assist the TTL in conducting performance evaluation of the nurses. Participate in standing committees, perform in-service and conduct audits. $62726 to $79577 per year.
Facility operations assistant
Perform a variety of routine and unskilled and semiskilled manual tasks related to the operation and maintenance of buildings and facilities, surrounding grounds, and the vehicles and equipment used in maintaining these sites. Must read, write, speak, and understand English. Must possess and maintain the appropriate NYS drivers’ license, have a motor vehicle record which is free from major violations or a pattern of repeat violations. Food preparation, serving food, sanitation and hygiene, ordering food and supplies, and supervision of Food Service Workers 1. Supervise inmates, residents, or other individuals; and be required to submit written reports and documents regarding such activities. Must be reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service eligible list for the title; or must have permanent status as a Food Service Worker 2, Grade 9, and be eligible for lateral transfer; or be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
